What's New? 8.1.05 TOP 5 to 10 We will take an early look at the five to ten at each of the following positions…..QB, RB, WR, TE…..and some early sleepers….. QB 1. Payton Manning - Tough to argue…consistent and great weapons, but 49TD's will not happen again. 2. Dante Culpepper - Yards…TD's…offense is still going to spread it around …rushing TD's gives him an edge. 3. Donovan McNabb- If Owens can get happy and on the same page, could have best season to date. 4. Tom Brady- All he does is win and have you checked out the numbers recently? Consistant as they come. 5. Trent Green - Over 4000 yards and did it quietly again …has a great TE and RB…if WR's can step up bit..who knows? 6. Kerry Collins- yea i said Kerry Collinsl…who has a better recieving core outside of Indy, maybe inside of Indy WR's and a good young eager RB …could be a 4,000-yard/30 TD man this year. 7. Brett Farve- Started slowly, but finished fast…should have over 30 TD's again thisyear. Now its get tough but we like… 8. Mark Bulger- I wouldn't say we like him, but it's hard to argue against his consistency. 9. Carson Plamer- Has great weapons...could be the break out year 10. Hassleback, Delhomme SLEEPERS: David Carr…love the offense will he finally put a complete season in, Kurt Warner…Mr. Green seems like he makes the old guys young again...again great weapons , Chad Pennington…don't forget about him on draft day again. RB 1. LaDainian Tomlinson - Number 1 overall...PERIOD! 2. Shaun Alexander - TD Machine in offensive minded team. To me this is where everyone starts to guess...3 thru the rest...here is my take. 3. Willis McGahee - QB is a concern but he was awesome last year and Bledsoe was not Unitas. 4. Julius Jones - RB in a Parcell's system is a lock...if he stays healthy watch out..20 TD's? 5. Priest Holmes- Boom or Bust...better get LJ if you take Holmes, if 100% he's the top Fantasy back, but a big IF! 6. Deuce McAllister - Primed for a career year! 7. Edgarin James- I hate to rank him this high, he scares me for some reason. 8. Corey Dillon- He's happy, he's healthy and he's the man in NE. 9. Jamal Lewis- Again injuries are a concern but is the man for the Ravens and if healthy a great back! 10. Dominic Davis - Runs and Catches better then most, huge yardage and scored alot last year. Best of the rest: Stephan Jackson ( now the man in STL) Rudi Johnson (Primed for a great year) Clinton Portis (has to be better then last year) ….also keep Kevin Jones in mind he has a great stretch run …. WR 1. Randy Moss - New place same Randy..plus do they play D out west? 2. Terrel Owens- Can't argue with the talent..but man what a pain! 3. Chad Johnson - Will be number 1 in 2005….I said last year...he's gaining on them 4. Tory Hold- Great Yards..needs more TD's 5. Marvin Harrison - AT 5?….yes more weapons in INDY and the double coverages are beginning to be more effective against him….but still elite. 6. Javon Walker- Broke out last year and despite hold out threat is in camp! 7. Joe Horn - Age starting to be a factor, but shows no signs of slowing down.. 8. Andre Johnson - Our favorite year 3 WR... 9. Nate Burleson- Had a breakout year and will only get better as the main guy in MN. 10. Reggie Wayne - Best number 2 WR but has number 1 numbers. SLEEPERS and Others to watch: Darrell Jackson (if we would catch the damn ball) Joey Porter (Moss will get lots of attention) Steve Smith (back from injury) Anquan Boldin (year 2 after serious injury...I expect big things) Ashley Lelie (is Rod Smith still the man in Denver, I smell a change) TE 1. Tony Gonzales - DUH!, yes DUH...number 1 option in KC offense 2. Antonio Gates- Contact fight a concern but great threat 3. Alge Crumpler- Vick loves to scramble and dump to him. 4. Jason Whiten - Parcell's loves the TE 5. Randy McMichael - ready to become an elite TE? If his off-field issues go away we say yes THE REST: watch out for Jermaine Wiggins, Ben Watson (could be the man in NE) Eric Johnson (needs more TD's) and do not forget about Todd Head and Jeremy Shockey (if healthy are top 5 guys) Kickers and Defences Watch 1. Do not take either before round 8. 2. Akers, Viniteri, Vanderjadt, Elam...come on sing along...are good... 3. Sleeper K.....Graham in CINN....offense should be great this year...we like the leg of NUGENT in NY 4. Ravens, Steelers and Patriots are the top 3 D's...Sleepers...Detroit and Arizona are coming!!!
